The Issues

The Governor has responsibility for statewide crime and public safety. As governor I will completely fund and the staff those divisions and create a task force to interdict sex and drug trafficking, including the deadly fentanyl, at our borders and enforce the death penalty.

Citizens simply cannot afford the high cost of groceries, prescription drugs, and medical bills. As North Carolinians we cannot allow the lack of leadership in DC to impact our wallets and our livelihood. As Treasurer, I have personally fought against healthcare companies to lower medical costs for hundreds of thousands of North Carolinians. As your next governor I will strengthen North Carolina’s economy and initiate policies to protect your wallet.

As your Governor I will create an educational structure that allows parents to be parents. I will stop the soft bigotry of low expectations in our education system.

Former Governor Jim Martin always said “doing right is rarely wrong”. The Folwell Administration will create a culture of transparency and full disclosure. I am the only republican to receive the Sunshine Award highlighting my dedication to transparency. I opposed the North Carolina General Assembly exempting themselves from the public record law.

No one calls the state government to book a cruise, they call because they have a problem and want a solution. Phones will be answered, and calls should be returned. I will push for the reform for the DMV, DOT, DHHS and BOE.
